Department: Marketing & Admission 



Develop and implement marketing strategy for the University especially in recruitment of students, establishment of off-shore/regional centres and articulation of students through partnership with other institutions.


Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives. Provide analysis and input on the marketing strategy and suggest improvement. Research and find new marketing opportunities while. Increase  the value of current customers/students while attracting new ones. 



  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for marketing of UNIMY programmes.

  • Contact potential partners to establish rapport and arrange meetings. 

  • Plan and overseeing new marketing initiatives to improve sales by attracting more students.

  • Propose new markets for students’ recruitment.

  • Propose new partners for articulation projects.

  • Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones. 

  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events for marketing and networking purposes.

  • Develop schemes and incentives that will attract and retain students.

  • Developing goals for the marketing team and business growth and ensuring they are met. 

  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills. 

  • Ensure set targets are met on a scheduled manner.  

  • Participate in team meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items. 



  • Candidate must possess at least Degree or Masters in Marketing or other relevant field.

  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia. 

  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Previous sales experience with educational are advantage. 

  • Proven track recorded in students recruitment and marketing of educational products.

  • Good knowledge of market research techniques

Department: IT 

Overseeing all IT functions in the University including establishing IT policies, designing and creating software programs, integrating systems and software, maintaining operating systems, planning and implementing new IT systems and policies.


  • Plan IT infrastructure and software needs of the University

  • Overseeing all IT operations and ensuring that the operations meet the established IT plan.

  • Devise and establish IT policies and Systems to support implementation of University strategies and services

  • Collaborate with departments/users in the University to produce new software designs /systems.

  • Review and Improve existing IT systems.

  • Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems.

  • Supervise and coordinate the task of IT staff

  • Build relationships with the Company IT Department, suppliers and vendors for sharing of IT resources .

  • Create and review contracts and purchases to ensure cost effectiveness


  • Proven experience and track record as Head of IT Department or equivalent role 

  • Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML, Python etc. 

  • Experience in developing and integrating IT Systems. 

  • Good in strategizing and planning for IT needs of a company

  • Knowledge in University Management System is an advantage.

Department: Marketing & Admission


The Assistant Manager is overall responsible for providing marketing direction and for all distribution channels of the International Marketing and report to the head of the department of Admission in the area of overseas market which includes (but not limited to) all sales promotions activities for student recruitment purposes, schools liaison and promotional activities, and management and UNIMY’s positioning in the market. He or She is also accountable for the annual enrolment of students from the above said markets. The AM will lead and implement the strategic marketing directions of the department to achieve the company’s business objectives.


Marketing and Sales Strategic Planning - International market

  • Responsible for marketing & sales strategies planning and implementation for the said market with the objective of increasing student enrolment in the various programmes at UNIMY, from various market segments & countries.

  • Strategise and implement marketing plans for targeted markets to increase student enrolment.

  • Responsible for the planning and monitoring of annual budget for marketing activities to be implemented.


Student Recruitment Activities

  • Plan and implement all major student recruit activities including public fairs, and Info days and all other events related to student recruitment in overseas.

  • Advise and recommend to management, appropriate activities/events and timing for student recruitment activities.

  • Monitor and provide feedback on response on activities for further improvement.


International Agents Management

  • Responsible for tracking, prepare and present timely reports on agents performance.

  • Responsible for managing agents’ network including training, payment of commission etc.

  • Recommend for recruitment and management of agents in overseas for the purpose of prolific relationship between the institution and agents.

  • Assist the head in administrating matters pertaining to agents management including :

  • Record all incoming application forms.

  • Timely update of tracking of enrolment by agents

  • Preparing documentation for commission payment.

  • Periodical sending of marketing collaterals to agents.


Admissions and counselling

  • To ensure that students have a comprehensive and accurate knowledge of the programmes through counselling to enable them to pursue their career choices through the programmes offered by UNIMY.

  • To facilitate the enrolment process when required through checking entry qualifications of students, ensuring application forms are completed and submitted for enrolment.

  • To facilitate the other needs of students such as accommodation and transportation needs whenever necessary.


Projects Management

  • To plan and implement projects initiated by the Sales and Marketing department from time to time.

  • To ensure that proper management of the said projects assigned.


  • A Bachelor degree, preferably in Marketing or related areas from recognised university.

  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Knowledge of counselling principles, methods and techniques.

  • Knowledge and skills in using computer software eg. Microsoft software applications.

  • Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques and standards.

  • Ability to analyse and interpret the needs of students and offer appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate comfortably with students and parents in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Possess a good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and/ or Mandarin.

  • Possess good planning, organizing, coordinating, presentation and time management skills.

Department: MARCOM & EVENTS 


The Executive, Creative Design is required to serve as a Multimedia & Production Designer as well as assist in the marketing, communication and general marketing support activities. He/She is required to assist with communications media and advertising materials to effectively represent the university products brand and services to customers.


Branding and Creative Production

  • Multimedia & Production Designer for all kinds of media on different channels

  • Edit & Composite videos, create and insert static and motion graphics for promotional videos and event videos.

  • Propose and develop creative options to enhance visibility.

  • Maintain and update the corporate identity guidelines

  • Provide input in the creative direction process with external and internal creative teams.

  • Uphold proof-reading guidelines to ensure English grammar and spelling is perfect.

  • Job Brief writing to creative agencies, media agencies and all other suppliers e.g Printers and production house.

  • Ensure all timelines and deadlines are adhered to.

  • Keeping track A& P expenses and ensure the accuracy of the report.

  • Obtain the best supplier/vendor to execute the branding collateral/campaign


Photo & Video Shooting

  • Indoor & Outdoor Shooting

  • For Events & Specific Production Shoot

  • To provide photos & videos in a timely manner

  • Editing of photos & videos as necessary


Merchandise & Inventory Management

  • Administer purchases relating to marketing activities for Marketing, i.e souvenir items, water and all other items except printing items.

  • Maintain the system to ensure the availability of all collaterals and merchandise.

  • Take charge and responsibility for the stock inventory of the department.

  • Ensure the department’s shelf maintain cleanliness at the departments storage area.


  • 1-2 years working experience in Creative Multimedia Design roles. 


A Bachelor degree, preferably in Multimedia Design or related areas from recognised university.

Skills & Knowledge

(Skills and knowledge typically required to do the job to achieve acceptable level of proficiency on the job)

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Good cinematography/photography skills, strong knowledge in animation techniques, video and audio editing

  • Great sense in design, layout and typography

  • Ability to solve an array of challenges through visual design

  • Must be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solution

  • Strong work ethic with the desire for continuous improvement

  • Strong interpersonal, positive attitude and communication skills

  • Able to manage time effectively, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and long hours/weekends (when needed)

  • Able to work independently (minimal supervision), or as part of a team.

  • Keep abreast with advancements in technologies and techniques, contemporary trends in production design and popular music to deliver cutting edge work
