A Pioneering Research Initiative

UNIMY’s Ts. Dr. Syahril Anuar Bin Idris has been awarded the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) for 2024 — a prestigious recognition that comes with a research grant worth RM119,475, supporting groundbreaking work in educational technology.

His project, titled “A Novel Multi-Modal Mixed Reality Learning Model for Adaptive Virtual-Agent Interaction in Intelligent Tutoring System,” aims to bring fresh advancements to intelligent tutoring systems — developing a mixed reality learning model built around adaptive virtual-agent interactions to make educational experiences more engaging and effective.

By blending multi-modal mixed reality with adaptive virtual-agent interactions, the project aims to create more personalised, interactive learning environments — an approach with the potential to reshape how educational content is delivered, making learning more accessible and effective for students.
