My research interests revolve around quality focused software engineering and software technologies for developing systems that involve Internet of Things, big data analytics, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. I also have special interests in business, health, and rural informatics.

Professor Dr Nor Adnan Yahaya joined the University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) in May 2019.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (with Distinction) from the University of Nevada, Reno, USA in 1980, Master of Science and PhD in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Northwestern University, USA in 1984 and 1987 respectively. His professional and work experiences combine both academia and industrial. He has been in the teaching and research profession for over 30 years and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses. Other universities that he had served in various capacities include the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST), Albukhary International University (AIU), and Linton University College (LUC). His diverse exposure to industrial and applied research started as a Principal Researcher at Telekom R&D and later had served as a Principal Consultant at Custommedia Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB). Professor Dr Nor Adnan Yahaya is also a founding Director of LangIT Education & Consultancy, PLT.
