• Introduction to Lexis Advance: An overview of the Lexis Advance platform, including its purpose and how it serves as a comprehensive legal research tool.
• Effective Search Techniques: Learning advanced search strategies to efficiently locate legal documents, case laws, statutes, and secondary sources within the database.
• Utilization of Filters and Search Parameters: Understanding how to use filters, search parameters, and Boolean operators to refine search results and find the most relevant information.
• Navigating Legal Resources: Gaining proficiency in navigating various legal resources available on Lexis Advance, such as legal encyclopedias, law reviews, and treatises.
• Case Law Research: Techniques for conducting in-depth case law research, including understanding case summaries, headnotes, and how to use Shepard's Citations for case validation.
• Statutory and Legislative Research: Learning how to locate and interpret statutes, regulations, and legislative histories using the platform.
